mA/h Power Consumption Calculator

This calculator estimates the power consumption of a device in milliamp-hours (mAh) based on the current draw and usage time. It’s helpful for battery life analysis, device power budgeting, and designing energy-efficient electronics.

Energy Usage Estimator in mAh

Input Fields
I
mA
Current consumption of the device in milliamperes
t
h
Duration the device is operating (hours)
V
V
Voltage to calculate energy in mWh
If enabled, the result will update automatically when you change any value.

mAh Consumption Calculation Formula

Formula
$$\text{Consumption}_{\text{mAh}} = I_{\text{mA}} \cdot t_{\text{h}}$$

Where:

  • $$I_{mA}$$ = current draw in milliamps (mA)
  • $$t_{h}$$ = time in hours (h)
  • $$Consumption$$ = total energy used in milliamp-hours (mAh)

This formula estimates the total energy used over time by a device drawing constant current.

Calculation Example

Given:

  • $$I$$ = 120 mA
  • $$t$$ = 3 hours

Calculation:

  1. $$Consumption = 120 \cdot 3 = 360~\text{mAh}$$

This calculator is useful when estimating battery drain or verifying how long a device will operate on a specific battery capacity. By entering the average current draw and operation time, it provides an accurate estimate of total energy usage in mAh. It supports design decisions for mobile devices, embedded systems, IoT hardware, and low-power electronics.
