Where:
– $$HC$$ = Hip Circumference (cm)
– $$HM$$ = Height (m)

The Body Adiposity Index (BAI) is used to estimate body fat percentage without needing to know your weight. It is particularly useful in field conditions or home assessments. BAI values differ by gender:

For Men:

  • < 8% — Underfat
  • 8–21% — Healthy
  • 22–25% — Overweight
  • > 25% — Obese

For Women:

  • < 21% — Underfat
  • 21–33% — Healthy
  • 34–39% — Overweight
  • > 39% — Obese
