Tile Quantity Estimation Formula

Formula
$$\text{Perimeter} = 2 \cdot (\text{Room Length} + \text{Room Breadth}) – \text{Door Width}$$ $$\text{Skirting Area} = \text{Perimeter} \cdot \text{Skirting Height}$$ $$\text{Floor Area} = \text{Room Length} \cdot \text{Room Breadth}$$ $$\text{Total Area to be Laid} = \text{Floor Area} + \text{Skirting Area}$$ $$\text{Tile Area} = \text{Tile Length} \cdot \text{Tile Breadth}$$ $$\text{Number of Tiles} = \left( \frac{\text{Total Area to be Laid}}{\text{Tile Area}} \right) \cdot \left(1 + \frac{\text{Wastage \%}}{100} \right)$$

This tool is perfect for builders, interior designers, and DIY renovators. It considers floor and wall (skirting) tiling, door gaps, and wastage due to cutting or damage. By using total area and tile size, it estimates how many tiles you need and prevents over- or under-purchasing.
